Posted July 2Jul 2 Can any good come out of my depression?https://tbibles.com/pztB Psalm 126:5Those who plant in tears will harvest with shouts of joy.2 Corinthians 12:9Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong. When we are at our weakest, we are more receptive to the help and strength that God wants to give us. When everything is going our way, it is easy to become blind to our need for God and to overlook his presence in our lives. But as God works through our weaknesses, we learn to depend more on him and recognize and be grateful for the good work that only he can accomplish in us.Romans 8:26-28The Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will. And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.James 1:2-4When troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.Every time Satan attempts to conquer us, God takes that opportunity to grow and mature us. His Holy Spirit intercedes for us every step of the way, and though the journey may be painful, our destination will be worth it.2 Corinthians 1:3-5All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us. For the more we suffer for Christ, the more God will shower us with his comfort through Christ.During times of depression, God’s comfort reminds us of his love for us, and that love can inspire us to offer that same comfort to others. Those who have wrestled with depression themselves are often more empathetic and able to comfort others in similar circumstances.
