Posted June 30Jun 30 Anxiety can feel like a constant hum in the background or a full-blown storm that comes out of nowhere. It affects how we think, how we breathe, how we interact, and sometimes how we get through the day.Whether it's social anxiety, health anxiety, panic attacks, or that general sense of unease. What does anxiety feel like for you?Are there things that help you calm down or feel more in control? What do you wish others understood about it?

July 5Jul 5 Anxiety feels like a wave getting higher and higher and you can't stop it, and the only way you can truly combat it is to find absolute calm and ride it out and use as many techniques to try and distract or calm your brain down as possible. It's difficult, it's a challenge to break through that constant barrage or fear and panic, but it can work and can be a massive help during the storm.
July 7Jul 7 I experience anxiety quite badly sometimes and it can feel unbearable. I can feel out of control. I take my propranolol medication if I feel the physical sensations and try to allocate worry time. The idea of worry time is to let yourself get the thoughts out and worry so that you can free up the rest of the time and day. Doesn’t always work though if it’s ongoing and on my mind. Sometimes I fixate too much too and I think it can end up annoying other people as I can go on and on and on! It’s something I am working on.
